Linden Trio offers an innovative synthesis of classical guitar, Portuguese guitar, and saxophone, creating a distinctive sound that merges genres such as Fado and Bossa Nova into a new subgenre of ethno-jazz.
Formed by graduates of Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas in Castelo Branco, the trio is known for its original arrangements and bold use of extended techniques.
Its repertoire includes iconic works such as Purple Rain by Prince, as well as compositions by major Portuguese composers like Carlos Paredes.
Linden Trio is a visionary ensemble that blends technical mastery with artistic creativity, bridging traditional music from the Lusophone world with refined instrumental music.
The group is currently developing a new concert focused on exploring diverse compositional techniques, while remaining true to its artistic identity. This project will combine acoustic sound with electronics and will be inspired by a prominent Lusophone writer. More updates coming soon!
