Following the premiere of the project "From Clay to Sound – A Tribute to Cargaleiro", the Lontano Trio will continue to present the first phase of the project until the end of 2026. The next concerts are scheduled to take place in Lisbon, Aveiro amongst other venues. You can find further dates in the concert calendar.
In collaboration with the Linden Trio, I am also developing a new project that explores literature, electronics and collective composition. It is a stimulating journey through new sonic and conceptual territories that will be presented for the first time in Brazil in August 2026.
In addition, a new multidisciplinary event format is currently in the works — I’ll be sharing more news soon.

1st Prize

On the 4th of June in Castelo Branco, I received the first prize in the 8th Contemporary Music Interpretation Competition, organized by Síntese – Grupo de Música Contemporânea. The jury of the Superior category was composed of composers and performers: João Pedro Oliveira, Rui Dias, Monika Streitová, and Paulo Jorge Ferreira.
Rhytune's Prototype lauching

On 6 June, we launched the prototype of Rhytune: a new music magazine edited and curated by students and alumni of the Musik Akademie Basel. With this magazine, we want not only to bring departments closer together, but also to build a network centred on Basel's artistic community, and to connect with musicians everywhere. The prototype gives a first look at the structure we're proposing for the magazine, and serves as a way to share the project. If you'd like to know more, click here.
Master's Recital

On the 22nd of May, I presented my Master's recital. It was a real challenge to bring the concept together: the pieces were demanding, and coordinating everything with video projections added another layer of complexity. In the end, it was incredibly rewarding to bring the vision to life and perform it in front of friends, family, and of course, the jury :)
The Other Within

Repertoire Prüfung

On March 13th, I completed my saxophone exam, which was composed of classical repertoire for the instrument. I played works by composers from diverse styles and eras, including Karg-Elert, Brahms, Glazunov, and Albright. It was a great challenge to present such a wide repertoire and handle the pressure of this exam, and in the end, I believe I grew as a musician and performer.
From Clay to Sound - Hommage to Cargaleiro

On February 7, Lontano Trio premiered the project From Clay to Sound – Homage to Cargaleiro at Centro de Cultura Contemporânea de Castelo Branco. This concert marked the beginning of the public presentations of this programme, which has been in preparation over the past year.
The concert was preceded by an open rehearsal for the community, aimed at providing the audience with a more informal context about the project and the connection between the music and the work of the artist Manuel Cargaleiro. This open rehearsal took place at the Manuel Cargaleiro Museum in Castelo Branco.
The project will have seven more performances throughout the year.
